Oscar-nominated director Yorgos Lanthimos and best actress winner Emma Stone are set to release their next film, “Kinds of Kindness,” on June 21. The cast includes Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, Hong Chau, Joe Alwyn, Mamoudou Athie, and Hunter Schafer. Lanthimos co-wrote the script with Efthimis Filippou, whom he has collaborated with on previous films.

The film is described as a “triptych fable” that follows three different stories: a man without choice trying to take control of his life, a policeman whose wife returns from being missing at sea as a different person, and a woman determined to find a special someone with a unique ability. “Kinds of Kindness” follows the success of “Poor Things,” which won four Oscars, with Stone starring as a Victorian-era woman brought back to life with the brain of her unborn baby.

Stone and Lanthimos previously collaborated on “The Favourite,” a film set in 18th-century England about cousins competing for the attention of Queen Anne. They also worked together on the silent short film “Bleat.” “Kinds of Kindness” was filmed in New Orleans in late 2022 and follows the release of the trailer by Searchlight Pictures.

The trailer for “Kinds of Kindness” can be watched online, showcasing snippets of the film’s visually stunning and captivating storytelling. As Stone and Lanthimos continue their successful collaboration, fans eagerly anticipate the release of this new project and the unique storytelling it promises.
