Christine Quinn, star of the reality show “Selling Sunset,” suspected her estranged husband, Christian Richard, of secretly spying on her and called the police on him. She claimed that Richard had bugged her hotel room, but after the LASD arrived at the hotel, they found no evidence of criminal activity and did not file an official report. Quinn’s call to the police was based on her history with Richard, as she had previously accused him of extreme paranoia in court documents.
In those court documents, Quinn alleged that Richard had taken extreme measures to prevent her from leaving the property with their son and had isolated them by locking down the front gate. Despite sharing a 2-year-old son, Christian Georges, the toddler was not present in the hotel room during the incident. The LASD officer explained that if a child had been present, it would have been noted in their report. The couple’s marital issues escalated on March 18 when Richard allegedly threw dog feces at Quinn and even urinated on the floor.
After a fight on March 18 that led to Richard’s arrest for assault with a deadly weapon, the dispute continued the next day, and Quinn claimed he threw a bag with a glass bottle that hit her son. Richard was arrested a second time for violating an emergency protector order that had been put in place following his initial arrest. He denied the allegations against him and instead accused Quinn of lying to the police about their arguments over house-training their dogs and their son’s nanny’s work hours.
While Richard has denied the allegations, a hearing is set for April 17 to determine whether a restraining order is necessary. Despite the ongoing legal battle, Quinn has been maintaining a positive public image and attended an event in Los Angeles looking glamorous and unbothered. She notably swapped out her engagement ring for a new sparkler, symbolizing the end of her marital relationship with Richard. The couple tied the knot in 2019 on a previous season of “Selling Sunset.”
