Fans of The Chosen are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Season 4 on streaming platforms after its successful theatrical release. The eight-episode season premiered in select theaters in February, giving viewers the opportunity to enjoy it on the big screen. Showrunner Dallas Jenkins recently announced that production on Season 5 will begin in Utah next month, following the overwhelming response to Season 4 from fans. The show’s dedicated fanbase has played a crucial role in its success, with fundraising efforts and support that have helped propel the series forward.

Despite the anticipation for Season 4 to hit streaming, there have been delays due to ongoing “legal matters” that are currently being resolved. Jenkins mentioned in a video that they are working on these issues to make the show available for free to viewers as soon as possible. In the meantime, Season 4 is returning to theaters for a limited time, with episodes being shown on different dates. The Come and See Foundation, a non-profit organization supporting the show’s production, is offering churches and prisons the opportunity to host free screenings of Season 4.

Once the legal matters are resolved, Jenkins plans to accelerate the release strategy for Season 4, streaming two episodes per week on The Chosen’s official app to make up for the delay. The full season will also be available on DVD for those who prefer to binge-watch, with a paid streaming option also in the works. While waiting for Season 4 to stream, fans can catch up on Seasons 1-3 on The Chosen app and website, as well as on Peacock, Prime Video, and the BYUtv website.

As the team gears up for Season 5 production, the success of The Chosen has been a reflection of the show’s passionate fanbase and the dedication of those involved in bringing the story to life. The series has faced challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, including receiving a rare waiver from SAG-AFTRA to continue production during last summer’s strikes. However, the overwhelming support from fans has kept the show moving forward and has set the stage for the upcoming seasons to continue captivating audiences with its compelling storytelling. Stay tuned for more updates on when Season 4 will be available to stream and for new developments as Season 5 production begins in Utah.
