BRECKENRIDGE, Minn. (KFGO) – A Breckenridge, Minnesota man suffered serious injuries Wednesday morning when the crane he was operating tipped onto its side, pinning his legs underneath the machine.

Breckenridge police said James Jawaski, 58, was operating the 4-wheeled crane on uneven ground at a new construction site when the accident happened.

Breckenridge Public Utilities responded to the scene with a front-end loader and lifted the crane off of Jawaski’s legs.

Jawaski was taken to the hospital in Breckenridge and then flown to Sanford in Fargo. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
