SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KFGO/KELO) — A Sioux Falls man was indicted in federal court Monday on charges of kidnapping and producing child porn.
The indictment of Derek Rondeau, 32, stems from an incident last year when he is accused of kidnapping two girls and forcing them to engage in sexually explicit conduct while they were filmed.
According to court documents, Rondeau created the content with the intention of distributing it.
Rondeau pleaded Not Guilty and a trial date has not yet been set. If convicted, he faces up to life in prison as well as a fine of $250,000.
