BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (KFGO/WCCO) – A woman from Oakdale faces charges connected to a hit-and-run in Bloomington Friday evening that put two teenagers in the hospital, and one of them later died.
Police said 27-year-old Mikala Ness, 27, hit the kids, who were siblings, and drove away. They said she was intoxicated.
Donald Gayton, Jr., 17, later died from his injuries.
Officers found Ness after she’d crashed near Mall of America a short time later.
She is in jail on $300,000 bail, charged with two counts of vehicular homicide and one count of DWI. She has another court hearing on Tuesday.
