CBS Studios is developing an animated series based on the popular mobile game “Among Us,” and has added Dan Stevens, Liv Hewson, and Kimiko Glenn to the voice cast, along with previously announced members Randall Park, Yvette Nicole Brown, Elijah Wood, and Ashley Johnson. Stevens, known for his roles in “Downton Abbey” and “Legion,” will voice ‘Blue,’ a doctor with a doctorate in poetry. Hewson, currently starring in Showtime’s “Yellowjackets,” will voice ‘Black,’ a stoic geologist who prefers rocks to people. Glenn, known for “Orange Is the New Black,” will voice ‘Cyan,’ a gemologist who heals through crystals.

Stevens is represented by CAA, Julian Belfrage Associates, and Peikoff Mahan Law Office, while Hewson is represented by UTA, Aran Michael Management, Mosaic, and Sloane Offer. Glenn is represented by Buchwald, Artists First, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman. The series, reported by Variety in June 2023, is being developed by CBS Eye Animation Productions and Innersloth, the game studio behind “Among Us.” Owen Dennis will serve as creator and executive producer, with the series based on the game’s premise of rooting out an alien shapeshifter impostor on a spaceship.

The official logline for the series states, “Members of your crew have been replaced by an alien shapeshifter intent on causing confusion, sabotaging the ship, and killing everyone. Root out the ‘Impostor’ or fall victim to its murderous designs.” Titmouse will be the animation studio for the series, with Forest Willard, Marcus Bromander, and Carl Neisser of Innersloth also executive producing, along with Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina of Titmouse. While no network or streamer is currently attached, discussions are ongoing.

Stevens’ character ‘Blue’ is described as knowledgeable, charming, and hot, with a task of providing physical and emotional care. Hewson’s character ‘Black’ is stoic and coarse, with a task of supervising ore shipments and a preference for rocks over people. Glenn’s character ‘Cyan’ is a gemologist who heals through crystals and supervises the ship’s vibes, which are described as bad. The series promises an exciting adaptation of the game’s intriguing premise, with an impressive voice cast bringing the characters to life.

With a mix of experienced actors like Stevens, Hewson, and Glenn, along with the previously announced cast members, the “Among Us” animated series is shaping up to be a project to watch out for. As production continues, fans of the game can look forward to seeing their favorite characters in a whole new animated world, filled with mystery, suspense, and betrayal. The addition of these talented voice actors adds depth and personality to the roles, enhancing the immersive experience for viewers. Stay tuned for further updates on the development and release of this highly anticipated series.
