Huntington Beach is dominating Surf League baseball, with strong pitching making them a formidable opponent. Tyler Bellerose and Trent Grindlinger combined for a no-hitter in a 2-0 win over Los Alamitos. Bellerose threw 6 1/3 scoreless innings before Grindlinger closed the game with two strikeouts. The Oilers are now 11-4 overall and 3-1 in the league. In other games, Fountain Valley beat Edison 2-0 behind Cayden Bonura’s three-hit shutout, and Orange Lutheran swept Servite in a three-game series with a 5-2 victory.

In other baseball action, La Mirada defeated Downey 13-2 with Jacob Oropeza collecting three hits, Villa Park edged out Cypress 2-1 with Jacob Sandoval’s walk-off double, and El Camino Real shut out Elk Grove 7-0 behind Christian Gastellum’s complete game and Brendan McClure’s three-run home run. Simi Valley beat Eastlake 15-5 led by Liam Blake’s four RBIs, Oaks Christian defeated Agoura 9-2 behind Joshua Brown’s three hits and three RBIs, and Westlake pulled into a first-place tie with Calabasas in the Marmonte League with a 7-2 win over Thousand Oaks.

Newbury Park defeated Calabasas 8-3 with Tyler Field recording three hits, West Ranch shut out Valencia 3-0 behind Hunter Manning’s 12 strikeouts, and Saugus beat Hart 5-1 with Wesley Yim pitching a complete game and Jason Zepeda contributing two hits and two RBIs. Foothill dominated Dos Pueblos 12-1 with Garrett Davidson hitting a three-run home run, Viewpoint beat Mount Miguel 14-5 with Brandon Warner striking out eight in four innings, and Loyola defeated Venice 15-2 with James Dell’Amico hitting two home runs and driving in six RBIs.

On the softball field, Garden Grove Pacifica remained undefeated at 15-0 with an 8-1 win over Calexico in the Michelle Carew tournament. Norco beat Great Oak 10-2 as Maddy Aguilera and Tamryn Shorter hit home runs, and El Modena rallied to defeat Los Alamitos 4-3 with a four-run sixth inning, including a key single by Jocelyn Alatorre.
