Sony Pictures Networks India has secured the TV and digital rights for all New Zealand-based men’s and women’s cricket matches for the next seven years, from May 1, 2024, to April 30, 2031. The deal includes India’s tours of New Zealand in the 2026-27 and 2030-31 summers, as well as other bilateral Tests, ODIs, and T20Is played in New Zealand. The matches will be broadcast on SPNI’s sports channels and streamed on SonyLIV, with the digital rights in India shared with Prime Video for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons. The deal is estimated to be worth around $100 million.

N.P. Singh, the MD and CEO of SPNI, highlighted New Zealand’s cricket team’s sportsmanship and strength, stating that it is a privilege to deepen the bond between the team and its fan base in India. Diana Puketapu-Lyndon, the chair of New Zealand Cricket, expressed excitement about the association with Sony Pictures Networks India, a premier sports content provider in the country.
