Amtrak announced it would host hiring events on June 14 to
celebrate National Hiring Day.
Officials from the rail company are looking to fill more
than 4,000 positions across multiple sectors, including IT, onboard services,
finance, mechanical, conductors, engineers, customer service, construction and
more.
Amtrak is hosting events in Washington, DC, Philadelphia and
virtually, with candidates encouraged to register ahead to see available
positions, but walk-ins are also welcome.
In Philadelphia, prospective employees can visit the Arlen
Specter U.S. Squash Center from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., while people in Washington
D.C. can partake in the employment fair at Union Station, East Hall, from 9:30
a.m. to 2 p.m.
Virtual events will be held online from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET
through Amtrak’s official
website.
With over 14 departments participating, attendees should be
prepared to meet with recruiters and hiring managers, as certain locations will
offer on-site interviews. In addition to full-time positions, Amtrak offers paid
internships and co-ops for undergrad and graduate students, as well as
Apprenticeship Programs.
Potential employees will be offered competitive benefits,
