Ant Anstead is defending his decision to post pictures of son Hudson after calling out Christina Haack.
When the “Wheeler Dealers” host shared family photos with his father and 3-year-old on Thursday, Instagram trolls blasted him for showing the toddler.
“How is you posting pictures of Hudson with your family any different than Christina posting pictures of Hudson with her family?” one user asked.
Another wondered, “Why is Hudson on your IG?? But mom can’t have him on hers???🤷♀️”
Anstead, 43, clapped back with comments of his own, clarifying that he only requested that Haack, 39, not “exploit” their son’s image.
“She’s had 25 weeks to agree,” the car builder wrote. “She finally has.”
The “For the Love of Cars” alum noted in a separate comment that he was “protecting [Hudson] when he had no voice” since “his childhood is not for sale.”
In a reply to another fan, Anstead added that he “laugh[s] about” the social media hate.
“The uninformed herd mentality is telling of our current climate,” he explained. “If someone said to me 25 weeks ago ‘get some flack from a bunch of Karen’s in exchange for Hudzo not being exploited for money’ I would take that deal! 🏆”
The motor specialist was referencing a September court declaration in which he claimed that Haack has been using their little one for personal gain via social media.
The “Flip or Flop” alum rebutted his claims in court documents at the time, alleging she never “forced” Hudson to appear on her account.
“I have never exploited our son, Hudson,” she claimed. “He appeared in a few of my own Instagram ads that each took less than 5 minutes to film. I have all the footage and they were all fun activities that he enjoyed doing.”
The following month, she called Anstead’s actions a “manipulation tactic” amid their custody battle.
“This is unnecessary pressure for a platform that is supposed to be used to share moments chosen, rather than a judgement tool,” she captioned an Oct. 2 Instagram selfie.
Anstead, for his part, has continued documenting his life with Hudson via social media, from birthday parties to soccer games.
He and Haack tied the knot in December 2018, splitting nearly two years later. The former couple finalized their divorce in June 2021.
The “Master Mechanic” alum, who is also the father of daughter Amelie and son Archie with ex-wife Louise Anstead, is now in a relationship with Renée Zellweger.
As for Haack, she is married to Josh Hall.
