Ben Higgins lived every person’s nightmare when he ran into his ex’s new partner.
The former “Bachelor” shared on Chris Harrison’s podcast that he recently golfed in the same celebrity tournament as his former fiancée Lauren Bushnell’s husband, country singer Chris Lane, in Orlando, Fla.
“[Lane’s] locker is right next to Ben Higgins’ [locker],” Harrison said on “The Most Dramatic Podcast Ever” Monday while his guests, Higgins and Wells Adams, laughed.

Higgins, 33, explained that on the first night of the sporting event, he found himself sitting at a bar just a few seats away from Lane, 38, and decided to go say hello.
“I walked up, and I said, ‘Hey, Chris, good to see you,’” he recounted, adding that it was “nothing but great” and “nice to talk to him.”
The Season 20 lead did, however, admit that he has not seen Bushnell, 32, since they called off their engagement in 2017, and he did not know whether she would be joining Lane at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions.
“Obviously, life has moved far beyond that relationship, but our relationship is still an important season or time in my life, and so I would be lying if I wasn’t a little anxious about the idea of being at this tournament with Lauren and Chris and also Lauren’s family,” Higgins continued.

Bushnell — who has taken a step back from the limelight since giving birth to her and Lane’s second child in October 2022 — did not end up coming to the event, but her dad was there.
Higgins said it “felt really good” to chat with the man who was once his future father-in-law.

Higgins and Bushnell got engaged in 2016 and subsequently landed their own spinoff, “Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?,” which ultimately ended in their breakup.
Bushnell went on to wed Lane in October 2019 after being friends for years. They welcomed their first child, Dutton Walker, in June 2021 and son Baker in October 2022.
Higgins also found love again, marrying Jessica Clarke in November 2021.
