Jessica Simpson celebrated her husband Eric Johnson’s 44th birthday by posting new photos from their low-key family gathering.
“Eric turned 44 on Sept 15 and his family gave him all the love cells we have to celebrate his life,” Simpson, 43, captioned a poolside selfie on Instagram Tuesday of the couple with their three kids, Maxwell, 11, Ace, 10, and Birdie, 4.
In another photo, the family of five gathered around a giant box of birthday doughnuts from Blinkie’s in Los Angeles, while another snap showed the “Open Book” author and the former NFL player cuddling on a lounge chair as little Birdie snapped their photo.
Simpson looked biker-chick chic in a black sweatshirt, jeans, sky-high combat boots, massive hoop earrings and oversize sunglasses.
The birthday boy, for his part, oozed dad vibes in colorful swim trunks, a graphic tee, a green baseball hat and Persol sunglasses.
The “Irresistible” singer also took the opportunity to gush over how much she loves her husband.
“My heart is so taken with this Man, I could hardly call it my own….” she wrote, adding, “We love youuuu.”
Simpson ended her message by acknowledging that Johnson “ain’t an Instagram guy” but that she believes “the more good wishes the better 😜.”
The pair, who have been together for 13 years, clearly still have the hots for each other.
The fashion designer revealed in August that one of their kids walked in on them having sex, though the couple were “in denial.”
And the ex-tight end also works hard to keep the romance alive.
“He’ll leave me little notes because he’ll wake up earlier than me. He’ll leave me little letters,” Simpson shared.
“There’s a lot of things that make me like, ‘I can’t wait to get my hands on him later. I think you have to have those little things as a couple that are just between you two.”

The “Dukes of Hazzard” actress and Johnson got engaged in 2010 after just six months of dating, but the lovebirds didn’t tie the knot until four years later and started their family in between.
They said “I do” in July 2014 with an intimate Montecito, Calif., ceremony in front of close friends and their two eldest children, Maxwell and Ace, who were born in May 2012 and June 2013, respectively. They welcomed Birdie in March 2019.
Simpson and Johnson have both been divorced, though they share no children with their ex-spouses.
The “Take My Breath Away” vocalist was married to Nick Lachey from 2002 to 2006, while Johnson was married to stylist Keri D’Angelo from 2005 to 2010.
