Gucci is the new black.
As freezing temperatures swept the country during Christmas weekend, Laverne Cox heated up Instagram in a teeny Gucci swimsuit.
“It’s way too cold in NYC. Trying to remember what this beach moment in Anguilla felt like,” the “Orange Is the New Black” actress, 50, captioned a throwback video of herself frolicking on the shore in a logo-printed bikini ($790) and matching belt bag ($1,900) from the luxury label.
“2022 served up lovely vacay time with the love of my life. #Gratitude,” Cox continued.
She shared videos from what appeared to be the same tropical trip in November, celebrating her time away with the caption, “I feel like I haven’t been this relaxed in years.”
“This vacay I’ve quieted my mind in a way I haven’t been able to do since pre-pandemic. Praying to take this into every aspect of my life post vacay a day at a time, a moment at a time,” she wrote at the time.
The star set her latest sunny Instagram Reel to Beyoncé’s song “Virgo’s Groove” — and while Cox herself is a Gemini, she was mistaken for Queen B at the US Open earlier this year.

“Not me getting mistaken for @Beyonce at the #USOpen tonight then trending on Twitter as the internet cackles over the mistaken identity,” the “Inventing Anna” actress joked on Instagram at the time, calling the incident “funny as hell.”
This wasn’t the “Promising Young Woman” actor’s only internet-breaking bikini moment this year; back in May, she celebrated her 50th birthday in a teeny Fendace two-piece.

2022 was a big year for Cox, as she also received her own Barbie, marking the first time Mattel released a doll made in the likeness of a transgender person.
True to form, the actress honored the milestone by twinning with her history-making doll.
