The Battle of the Portraits.

Biographer Tom Bower — who wrote “Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors” — told Page Six in an exclusive interview that he “absolutely” believes the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released their most recent portraits to humiliate the royal family.

“It was all about, we’re back now on course to build Brand Meghan and the book, the Netflix series, the podcast,” he told us. “Everything is money. And to their advantage, they were in the public eye for seven days during the funeral or more, every day they were filmed.”

Bower further compared it to their appearances months earlier during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations where the couple was barely seen.

“They were shuffled off to a window upstairs and hardly seen,” he said contrasting it to Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral, where “they were center stage.”

“You know, she has really got one interest,” Bower added, “and that’s Meghan and the casualties are the royal family and as far as she’s concerned, that’s terrific.”

On Monday, photographer Misan Harriman released two photos taken during Markle and Harry’s trip to the United Kingdom right before the Queen’s passing on Sept. 8. In one photo, the couple stood close as they held hands moments before the opening of the @OneYoungWorld.

Their snaps came two days after the Palace released a portrait of King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla Parker-Bowles, alongside the heir to the throne, Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton.

The remarkably relaxed portrait was taken ahead of the giant reception the Palace held for Heads of State and Official Overseas Guests on Sept. 18 before the Queen’s funeral and is clearly meant to symbolize the continuation of the monarchy.

Markle and Harry tied the knot in 2018 and resigned from their royal duties less than two years later amid claims that the former actress and their children were racially profiled.

They eventually moved to California, where they reside with their two kids: Archie, 3, and 1-year-old Lilibet.
