He’s flying high again.
Legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne, 73, surprised fans at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games in England on Monday, which marked his first performance on stage since his “life-altering” surgery in June.
The former Black Sabbath frontman, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019, put on a show alongside his former band member, guitarist Tony Iommi.
In a YouTube video shared by BBC Sport, the “War Pigs” hitmaker was seen rocking out on stage to Black Sabbath’s hit song “Paranoid.”
Both Osbourne and Iommi, 74, plunged fans into chaos at Birmingham’s Alexander Stadium with their electric performance during the closing ceremony.
After the historic performance, the rocker’s son, Jack Osbourne, rushed to Instagram to share a special snap of his dad on stage.
“Dad and @tonyiommi closed out the #commonwealthgames2022 tonight,” he wrote alongside three photos.
The “Crazy Train” singer was discharged from a Los Angeles hospital in June after undergoing what his wife Sharon Osbourne, 69, described as “a major operation” that would “determine the rest of his life.”
Along with Parkinson’s and a bout with COVID-19, the musician has been dealing with the ramifications of a 2003 quad biking accident.
The rocker’s “life-altering” surgery in June involved removing and realigning pins in his neck and back.
“I am now home from the hospital recuperating comfortably,” he wrote on Instagram last month.
“I am definitely feeling the love and support from all my fans and send everyone a big thank you for their thoughts, prayers and well wishes during my recovery,” he added.
