Prince Harry says that his brother, Prince William, “snapped” during a 2019 argument over Meghan Markle that turned physical.
The royal renegade further detailed the now-infamous altercation, which was first revealed in his explosive memoir, “Spare,” during his “60 Minutes” interview Sunday.
The Duke of Sussex told Anderson Cooper in a sit-down chat that the Prince of Wales was verbally “coming for [Markle],” who wasn’t there at the time of the fight.
“And his frustrations were growing and growing and growing,” Harry recalled. “He was shouting at me. I was shouting back at him. It wasn’t nice. It wasn’t pleasant at all.
“And he snapped. And he pushed me to the floor.”
Harry, 38, claims he landed on a dog bowl during the “nasty experience,” which caused injuries — specifically, cuts on his back — and noted that William did apologize following the incident.
In fact, the 40-year-old royal allegedly asked that Harry not tell anyone — especially Markle — about the altercation, which the Duke of Sussex would’ve obliged, had his wife not noticed his wounds.

“She goes, ‘What’s that?’ I was like, ‘Huh, what?’ I actually didn’t know what she was talking about,” he explained. “I looked in the mirror. I was like, ‘Oh s–t.’ Well, ‘cause … I hadn’t seen it.”

Harry previously claimed in an interview with ITV’s Tom Bradby that William “wanted” his younger brother to hit him back, but Harry “chose not to.”
“What was different here was the level of frustration,” the redheaded royal said. “I talk about the red mist that I had for so many years, and I saw this red mist in him.”
Royal expert Katie Nicholl told Page Six exclusively Friday that the Prince of Wales is simultaneously distraught and furious over his brother’s upcoming memoir, which is set to hit shelves Tuesday.
“William’s privately seething and devastated by what Harry has done,” Nicholl said.
“[He] just cannot forgive Harry for the things that he’s written.”
