Taylor Swift’s new style era has arrived.
After gracing the VMAs 2022 red carpet Sunday in a stunning Oscar de la Renta outfit dripping with crystals — and announcing that her new album, “Midnights,” will arrive October 21 — the pop superstar gave fans a glimpse at what her upcoming LP’s aesthetic might hold in store with her afterparty look.
For Republic Records’ post-awards bash at the Fleur Room in NYC, Swift swapped her flapper-inspired frock for a starry midnight blue romper by Moschino, dotted with crystals and paired with a white faux fur jacket.
The 32-year-old “All Too Well: The Short Film” director — who scooped up Video of the Year, Best Direction and Best Longform Video for her “Red (Taylor’s Version)” visuals at the show — accessorized with shimmering Ananya earrings, glittery Alexander McQueen platform sandals ($1,090) and her signature red lip.
Page Six exclusively revealed earlier on Sunday that Swift would be surprising fans with an appearance at the VMAs, and the surprises kept coming for Swifties throughout the evening.

While some speculated that “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)” might be on the way, thanks to the musician’s blinged-out red carpet frock, she announced during her Video of the Year acceptance speech that a “brand-new album” was coming instead, and dropped more details at (when else?) midnight.
“Midnights” will include 13 tracks telling “the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout [Swift’s] life,” as the artist later shared on social media.
“This is a collection of music written int he middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams,” she wrote.
“The floors we pace and the demons we face. For all of us who have tossed and turned and decided to keep the lanterns lit and go searching — hoping that just maybe, when the clock strikes twelve … we’ll meet ourselves.”
