During the week of March 22-28, the Amazon Prime Video original series “Road House” was the most-watched streaming title, accumulating 1.7 billion minutes of viewing time. In the previous week, the series debuted at No. 5 on the movies chart with 121.5 million minutes watched, despite only being available for one day. Throughout its first week, “Road House” saw an increase in daily average minutes watched, reaching nearly 250 million.

The Netflix biopic “Shirley,” focusing on politician Shirley Chisholm, debuted as the No. 2 movie with 298.7 million minutes watched. It was still surpassed by the previous week’s top movie, “Irish Wish,” which garnered 698.8 million minutes and 3.1 million views. Following “Irish Wish” were “Damsel” and “Ricky Stanicky” with 201.9 million and 176.3 million minutes watched, respectively. Netflix’s “3 Body Problem” also made its debut on the chart, leading the TV side with 1.6 billion minutes watched.

“The Gentlemen” reached 784.9 million minutes watched, tying with “Homicide: New York” at 3.3 million views. This marked a 41% decrease from the title’s previous week’s viewing numbers, as it has been available on Netflix since March 7. Season 2 of “Buying Beverly Hills” premiered at No. 4 with 412.9 million minutes watched in its first week.

The most-watched non-Netflix title of the week was “Palme Royale” on Apple TV+, landing at No. 5 with 262.9 million minutes watched. Season 6 of Netflix’s “Love Is Blind” followed with 234 million minutes, while Paramount+’s “Halo” Season 2 was the No. 7 TV show with 227.7 million minutes. Hulu’s documentary “Freaknik: The Greatest Story Never Told” premiered on March 21 and was the No. 6 movie with 104.7 million minutes watched. “The Casagrandes Movie” followed with 67.1 million minutes watched.

It is important to note that both Variety and Luminate share a common owner in Penske Media Corp. “Road House” is pictured as the top streaming title. “3 Body Problem” from Netflix, created by “Game of Thrones” creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, was right behind “Road House” on the TV side with 1.6 billion minutes watched in its first week on the chart. Other notable series included Dick Wolf’s unscripted “Homicide: New York” tying with “The Gentlemen” at 3.3 million views and “Buying Beverly Hills” debuting at No. 4 with 412.9 million minutes watched.
