The first victim of the Channel tragedy has been identified as Mariam Nouri Hamadameen, a 21-year-old Kurdish woman from northern Iraq.
She was one of 27 people who drowned after a dingy capsized in the English Channel from Calais on their way to British shores.
Sky’s Middle East Correspondent Alistair Bunkall spoke with relatives of Mariam who have a message for anyone else trying to make the treacherous journey.
