Bill Maher, known for his long-running TV program “Real Time,” has ventured into the world of podcasting with Club Random Studios, a new podcast network and entertainment hub that aims to spotlight “authenticity from unfiltered celebrity voices.” The network’s first show, “The Sage Steele Show,” hosted by Sage Steele, is set to premiere on March 27 and will feature guests such as Dana White, Howie Mandel, and Sharon Osbourne. Maher teamed up with co-creators and executive producers Chris Case and Chuck LaBella to launch the network, inspired by the unique style of his own podcast.

Maher believes that people are interested in hearing a variety of voices and perspectives, leading him to curate a lineup of podcast hosts that he finds compelling. Club Random Studios will also acquire NBA Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett’s podcast and develop new shows in-house. The network is set to feature podcasts hosted by music icons Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins and Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit, covering topics such as UFOs and conspiracy theories, with a focus on creating a nighttime, intimate feel for listeners.

As Maher expands his reach in the audio world, his TV show “Real Time” has also been renewed for two more seasons at HBO, and it will now be airing on CNN on Saturday nights following its Friday night broadcast on HBO. While Maher asserts that Warner Bros. Discovery has not asked him to alter the content of his show for CNN, he will have to trim segments to fit the network’s commercial breaks. Despite the differences in appearance between his show and traditional CNN content, Maher expresses gratitude and excitement for the opportunity.

Looking ahead to the upcoming election, Maher admits that he has chosen not to let the prospect of another Trump presidency consume him as it did in the past. Understanding the country’s polarization, he jokes about the uncertainty surrounding the outcome and how he will navigate the potential implications of another Trump victory. Maher’s laid-back approach reflects his focus on maintaining a balance and not allowing political stress to dominate his thoughts.

Addressing recent rumors about his departure from talent agency CAA, Maher clarifies that no decisions have been made yet. While acknowledging the constant flux in show business and the need to consider all options, Maher expresses his appreciation for the support he has received from CAA and his agent. Despite differing reports, Maher seems unfazed by the speculation surrounding his professional choices and remains focused on continuing his work and exploring new opportunities in the industry.
