It looks like the Clooneys have either a budding artist or politician in the family. Or perhaps both.

Appearing alongside Michelle Obama and Melinda French Gates at a panel in NYC on Tuesday, the human rights lawyer revealed just how much her 5-year-old twins Ella and Alexander inspire her work.

The 44-year-old admitted that while her kids, whom she shares with husband George Clooney, 61, aren’t “quite on top of current events,” her son often takes notes of what she’s up to at work.

In fact, he didn’t hesitate giving his two cents on the current situation surrounding Russian President Vladimir Putin following his unprovoked large-scale invasion of Ukraine.

“My son drew a picture the other day of a prison, and he was like, ‘Putin should be here,’” Amal revealed before adding that she’s currently “working on Ukrainian affairs.”

Amal, who credited her kids for being the “real driving force” behind her work with the Clooney Foundation for Justice, said it’s only a matter of time before her kids will start to understand what’s happening in politics.

Amal said the picture her son drew of Putin only reminded her that it's only a matter of time before her kids will start to understand politics more.

“I do think about in a few years when they’re more than 5 when they start to learn about some of these issues that we’re talking about and what’s happening in the world,” she went on.

“You know, when they ask us, ‘What did you do about this? What did you say about that?’ I’ve thought about what will my answer be, and I hope it will be a good one.”

The Clooneys, who married in September 2014, welcomed their twins in June 2017.

The pair often share anecdotes about their children, with George recently revealing the “terrible mistake” he and Amal made by teaching them Italian.

Revealing why it’s a poorly thought-out parenting choice, he explained, “But we don’t speak Italian,” he added. “So, we’ve armed them with a language they can harm us with. And we both don’t really know what they’re saying.”
